Sales – Account Manager

We are expanding our Outside Sales Team in our Virginia Beach/Norfolk office!

Qualified applicants must possess a strong desire to sell, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of technology, the Internet and challenges technology poses to small and medium sized businesses whose internal staff is overwhelmed.

Outside sales experience is preferred.  Previous sales experience with technology driven companies is a plus, but we are willing to take a chance on the right candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • New B2B sales and account management, including cold calling; scheduling client introductions and meetings; and preparing presentations, proposals, and bid specifications to strategically win new business. 90% outside sales effort.
  • Attending regular sales and techincal meetings to increase knowledge of products and services.
  • Understanding of basic selling skills, with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities to work within a professional, team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience selling the following services; IT management,  data warehousing, business process improvement, systems integration, IT strategy, and/or IT architecture projects.
  • Diligence in follow up and excellent organizational skills a MUST!
  • The ideal candidate will have strong contacts in the Hampton Roads market with the ability and main responsibility to drive business development and provide ongoing account management of clients.
  • A proven track record of meeting a quota in prior sales positions.
  • A collaborative, self-motivated, team player with an entrepreneurial focus and a passion to grow the business.
  • Strong customer focus and an ability to listen carefully in order to create service solutions that fit the clients’ needs.
  • Skill and willingness to approach new prospects and open doors to new sales opportunities through networking, industry events, etc.
  • Proficiency with a sales CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed along with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Professional and positive attitude.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related position or capacity.
